Winterfest Boat Parade

South Florida kicks off the holiday season about half an hour from Miami in Fort Lauderdale at the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. People come from all over the world to see the boat parade and all of their beautiful decorations. The parade route traces 12 miles, and organizers expect more than a million viewers.

This year’s parade is held on December 10, 2022.

The Nutcracker

For many of us, the holiday season isn’t complete without a Nutcracker performance, and the Miami City Ballet delivers a magical, Miami-inspired show at the stunning Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center. Right now tickets are buy 3, get one free for performances from December 16-30.

The Deering Estate

There are magical things to do during the holiday season at South Florida’s Deering Estate, an architectural and environmental landmark. On December 9, they will host the Mistletoe & Martinis holiday event. Visit anytime before January 6 to see the historic holiday décor for A Jazzy Holiday. On Friday, 12/2, and Wednesday, 12/14, visit the estate for a holiday stroll around the grounds.

NightGarden

The magical light show at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is truly special. The 23 acres of the garden are transformed into an illuminated fairyland with gorgeous sculptures and flowers.
